There is a metal lever that will work in the Mansfield 160 tank. The metal lever that will work is Mansfield 55ch. We do not recommend using the metal lever with it because, you have to bend the lever, also another reason we do not recommend it is you can not tell when the flush valve seal is going bad. When the flush valve seal goes bad it becomes hard to flush and instead of the lever being hard to push down, it will break the flush valve. We recommend using the genuine lever made specifically for the tank which are the Mansfield model 40 levers, which are offered in chrome, white, and biscuit. The 40 levers are made to fit directly into the tank without any issues.
